ABSTRACTIONISM brings together artworks that, though carrying their own inner set of politics, collectively exist at the frontier between figuration and abstraction. Whether by repetition, depletion, saturation or deterioration, the works presented operate as both symptoms and producers of a vestigial language through which objects, bodies and landscapes edge towards dissolution. What emerges from their assemblage is a counter-protocol to hyperreality: an affective and fragmented system that resists identification and rationalization in favor of poetic resonance, chaotic layering, and atmospheric détournement.
